I have done with the very interesting Paraschos bassoon bocal.
These bocals are made of palisander
and has a wide and warm wood sound.

The small firm Paraschos in Athens, Greece make wooden parts for
Bassoon, saxophone, clarinet and flute.
I find it brave that a small firm make such a revolutionary product for the bassoon.
When I play on a wooden bocal I feel that the bassoon become even more like
a woodwind instrument.
The bocals are normally made in size no1, but it can also be ordered in
size 2 and 3. The price for one bocal is 600 Euros.
The wood - guarantee for these bocals is 5 years, be careful to not use to thick cork
that is pressed into the bassoon, that COULD destroy the bocal,
that is NOT included in the guarantee.

This beautiful product is given to me by
the master Parashos.
This bocal has a stronger and brighter sound
than the December 2005 bocal. I also find
it easier to play in the high register.
